Jazz Saxophone & Quartet
Williams College Department of Music presents jazz saxophonist Kris Allen leading a quartet on Thursday, October 17, at 8, in the Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall. This free event is open to the public.
Kris Allen’s debut concert at Williams is titled ‘The Music of Mulgrew Miller,’ featuring the work of recently deceased jazz pianist Mulgrew Miller.
Allen is Artist in Residence in Jazz, lecturer in Music and the director of the Williams Jazz Ensemble. He has performed with many living legends of jazz music and with contemporary jazz artists.
Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall is located at 54 Chapin Hall Drive on the Williams College campus. Consult the map outside the entrance to the Security Office, located in Hopkins Hall on Main Street, Route 2, next to the Chapel. The map can also be found on the web at williams.edu.
