Juried Show Opens at the Hyde
One hundred works from more than 890 entries by area high school art students will be exhibited at the Hyde Collection’s 23rd annual regional juried High School Art Exhibition through Saturday, May 31. The young artists, in grades 9 through 12, hail from 20 school districts throughout New York’s Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Hamilton and Essex Counties. Jurors chose the works based on originality, skill and the successful use of the elements of art to create visual impact. An Awards Reception will be held for the students and their families at the Hyde Collection on Sunday, May 18, from 2 to 4 p.m., with a recognition ceremony at 2:30. Students and their families will be admitted free. In order to make art more accessible throughout the year to students, The Hyde’s new admission policy offers all students with a student ID free admission to the Museum.
