Kid’s Author to Visit MCL
Acclaimed children’s book author Sara Hoagland Hunter will visit the Manchester Community Library on Thursday, July 30, at 10:30 a.m. She will share her award-winning picture book, ‘Every Turtle Counts,’ the story of a rare endangered sea turtle and a little girl in need of help herself, who is brave and determined enough to rescue the tiny sea creature. This year’s Summer Reading Program theme is ‘Every Hero Has a Story.’ Don’t miss the opportunity to meet the author and her hero, a little girl named Mimi. The presentation will be followed by a turtle craft and refreshments. There’s still plenty of time to register and read to win free raffle tickets for the spectacular baskets on offer in the YA Loft and the Children’s Barn. This is a free family program, open to the public. Manchester Community Library is located at 138 Cemetery Avenue on the corner of Route 7A in Manchester.
