Let’s Look, at the Library

Deana Mallory, Bennington Museum Director of Programs, and Linda Donigan, Children’s Librarian at Bennington Free Library, invite everyone to take a look at the photo collages on display in the Children’s Room of the Library. This exhibit is the result of the ‘Museum ABC’s’ program at the Bennington Museum, which wondered what a 3 or 4 year old sees when they go to a museum. The question was answered by preschoolers, their parents and grandparents; each family who attended was given a camera and a list of galleries with five different ways to look. They were then instructed to take pictures of something colorful in the Decorative Arts Gallery; something strange in the Pottery Gallery; something pretty in the Gilded Age gallery and something they would like to know more about in the Bennington Modernism gallery.
