Local Real Estate Agents Awarded
Two local realtors were recently recognized by their peers for their long and involved service to the real estate community. Annie Bessette has been named the South Central Vermont Board of Realtors’ 2015 Realtor of the Year Award. Bessette is also a candidate for the Vermont Realtor of the Year. She is principal broker at TPW Real Estate based in Bondville. A long-time local realtor, Annie was chosen for the award based on her community involvement, exemplary leadership skills, professional standards and genuine, positive spirit. As the SCVBR Community Outreach Committee chairperson, she was instrumental in putting together a Homebuyers’ Seminar and she works with Habitat for Humanity to help staff the Shires Resale Store with volunteers from the SCVBR. Also receiving an award was Bart Caliaro, who was awarded the Realtor Emeritus Award celebrating his 40-plus years as an active realtor. Caliaro has been a licensed real estate broker since 1969 and is a senior broker with Country Living Properties. He is a longstanding member of the SCVBR and served as its president in 1982 and on numerous committees throughout the years, ranging from the legislative committee to a ‘Make America Beautiful’ campaign. The South Central Vermont Board of Realtors is a member of Vermont Realtors and the National Association of Realtors, representing firms in Manchester, Dorset, Danby, Pawlet, south towards Arlington, and the mountain towns of Winhall, Stratton, Jamaica, Peru, Landgrove, Londonderry and Weston.
