Lunchtime Gallery Talks
The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Mass., begins its series of gallery talks on Thursday, September 11, at 12:30 p.m. The free half-hour talks are held in the Museum Building galleries. The series kicks off with ‘Renoir’s Back!’ which celebrates the return of the Clark’s Renoir paintings after a three-year international tour. Michael Cassin, director of the Center for the Visual Education in the Arts, will choose several paintings for discussion. Held on the second Thursday of the month, the series continues on October 9 with ‘Monet in Normandy,’ in which Cassin explores the intimate connection between Claude Monet and the landscape that provided inspiration for some of his most famous paintings. The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Mass. For more information, visit clarkart.edu or call 413-458-2303.
