Meals on Wheels to Reopen Café in Pownal

Meals on Wheels of Bennington County (MOW) will reopen their congregate café on Thursday, April 4, at Faith Christian Fellowship on Main Street in Powna, across from the library. A full hot lunch will be available to seniors over age 60 for a suggested donation of $4. There is a charge of $5 for people under 60. The meals prepared by MOW staff include three courses: soup or salad, entrée with side dishes, and dessert. Reservations are required. To reserve your seat, call 802-442-8012, exension 2, the day before the lunch. The café in Bennington is celebrating its tenth anniversary of service. They serve up to 80 people Monday through Friday. MOW also offers meals at in Bennington at 124 Pleasant Street; in Manchester at the Manchester Community Library, 138 Cemetery Avenue; at Bailey Hall on Ice Pond Road in East Arlington; and at the Stamford Community Church, 1059 Main Road, Stamford.
