Mountain Towns Dine-around
The Mountain Towns Dine-around is a festive party planned for Friday, July 19, to benefit the Londonderry Arts and Historical Society (LAHS). It begins with cocktails at the Custer Sharp House, headquarters of the LAHS. After cocktails guests will go to one of 20 area homes for dinner. Many of the hosts own historic homes in Londonderry, Landgrove, Peru and Weston. Guests will receive their host-home assignment at cocktails, and will also have a chance to bid on five unique Londonderry
treasures or experiences. Auction items include an original watercolor of iconic Londonderry by Bernadine Custer, a framed reproduction of the wonderful panorama of old South Londonderry that hangs in the Custer Sharp, house, a daysail for up to six people on Lake Champlain aboard a 42-foot Hinkley sailboat with gourmet lunch included, a guided walk/bike ride along the West River followed by a catered dinner for ten at the Depot, and Cook’s Night Off with lunches, brunches and dinners at Londonderry restaurants.
LAHS hopes to raise $20,000 to help with he cost of opening its buildings and managing its collections, which is not covered by membership contributions. To make your reservation for the Dine-around, go to lahsvt.org, email [email protected] or call 802- 824-4406.
