N. Adams Seeks Community Input on New Skate Park

On Thursday, September 25, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., there will be a kick-off meeting in the North Adams Public Library Community Room on the third floor, to begin the design of a skate and BMX park in North Adams, Mass. The contracted design team, Spohn Ranch, will introduce themselves and their ideas for this project. All skaters, BMX riders, inline skaters and community members interested in giving their input on the site location and design of the new skate park are invited to attend. The skate park, intended to include non-skating amenities such as walking routes, bleachers and picnic tables, is being funded by the City of North Adams’ 2013 Community Development Block Grant Program through the State Department of Housing and Community Development. The Northern Berkshire Community Coalition is a partner in the outreach effort. Come to the meeting to give your input. Pizza and light refreshments will be provided.
