New Playground Opens
After two years of planning and fundraising, the community build for the Flood Brook School’s new playground took place in mid-May. Over 260 community members, parents, teachers, businesses and groups volunteered time and equipment to construct this amazing new play space, saving the school over $50,000. The new playground is handicapped accessible, so that all children can play, and has two different areas for younger and older children. The playground completes the plan that began with the installation of the EnergyPrime Fitness Stations installed around the walking track in the Fall of 2013. The official grand opening and ribbon cutting will take place on Wednesday, June 11, at 5 p.m. All FBS community members and donors are invited to attend. There will be a potluck picnic following the ceremony. Look for more information at floodbrook.org or by calling 802-824-6811.
