Newfane Heritage Festival
The 44th Newfane Heritage Festival will once again bring people to a memorable party on the Green. This year’s event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 11 and 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, on the historic village common on Route 30 in Newfane. The uniqueness of the festival comes in many forms, especially the quality of products the 90 juried vendors provide for visitors. Everything for sale is either homemade, hand-crafted or home and locally grown. There are many one-of-a-kind items to be discovered, such as quilts, ironwork, pottery, furniture, photography, art work, jewelry, clothing and Vermont specialty foods. The Super Raffle offers beautiful hand-pieced quilts and hand-knit afghans, gift certificates, paintings and many other art and craft items. The Flea Booth and Attic Treasures offer something for everyone. There are children’s activities and musical entertainment during the weekend. One of our best-known features is the homemade apple pie, sold by the piece or the pie. You’ll want to sample some of the food booth’s hot dogs, hamburgers and chili before your slice of pie, or walk into the Church deli for baked potatoes with toppings, soup, pizza and freshly-pressed apple cider and other beverages.
