Opening Weekend at Gardenworks
Gardenworks opens for its 22nd season on Saturday, April 5, with two days of fresh spring tastes and treats. Sample local cheeses, artisan breads, dips and salsas made in and around Washington County, as well as a tempting assortment of baked goods, fruit pies, coffee cakes and cookies. The Gardenworks barn will be filled with new spring accents, and the greenhouses will be open for informal tours. The greenhouses will be stocked with spring pansies and other annuals as well as a huge assortment of perennials. The farm has become an outlet for locally grown meats, produce and cheeses and locally made products.
“There’s nothing like a tour of a greenhouse after a long winter,” says Meg Southerland of Gardenworks. “We hope everyone will stop by to see what’s in store for this year’s growing season.”
Opening Weekend at Gardenworks takes place on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 pm., and Sunday, April 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For further information, call 518-854-3250 or visit gardenworksfarm.com.
