Riley Rink announces the addition of Vanessa Beattie to its administrative staff. Beattie comes in during an important period of transition with an opportunity to help the rink maintain and grow its importance to our area, both economically and socially. “Ness will be a great help getting through all of the unseen administrative tasks that have to get done and planning for the 2014-15 ice season. She has already proved herself useful jumping in on short notice,” commented Stephen Murphy, the interim executive director who will step down as soon as a general
manager is hired. Beattie, a lifelong resident of Manchester, is active in the community, volunteering for the Dorset Playhouse and Home Away from Home Childcare Center, and has coached hockey at Riley Rink.

Riley Rink has posted two job descriptions rileyrink.com. The rink also welcomes constructive comments and suggestions as well as offers of volunteer help.
