Salem Artist Shows Work at Courthouse Community Center

The artwork of Salem artist, D. Stevens Burgess, is currently on display in the first floor Benn Room of the Salem Courthouse Community Center and will remain on view through the month of September. Stevens was born in New Delhi, India and studied art in Bangkok, Thailand and New York. His exhibit contains 17 works focusing on land, water and the natural world. His studies are creations of his own imagination; he no longer uses points of reference in any of his pieces. His tones are subtle, and his paintings draw the viewer into the landscape in a most relaxing manner. Stevens has exhibited his work in several area galleries with this being his third exhibit at the CCC. The Benn room is handicap accessible and open to the public.
