Spaghetti Dinner Dance
Where do they get the energy? A select group of Mill River cheerleaders will host a Spaghetti Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 5, from 6 to 10, at the North Clarendon Grange. The meal will include spaghetti, bread, salad and a variety of desserts. Following dinner, a DJ’d dance will feature music through the decades. For a small fee, you can dance with your favorite cheerleader. Admission is $8 per person, $15 per couple and $25 per family of 4 (under 5 free). This fundraiser is the most recent in a long string of fundraisers, conducted since August, to support Mill River High School Cheerleaders selected to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Disney Christmas Day Parade, and the London New Year Day’s Parade. Participants include: All American cheerleaders Torri Hixon and Maddie Fishwick and seniors Malarie Allen, Annie Cotrupi, Kassi Goodell, Brianna Howard, and Hannah Turgeon. To date, the group has hosted two Texas Holdem Poker Tournaments, two bottle drives, a car wash, and a bake sale. They would like to express thanks to Art Howard, Shearer Honda, the North Clarendon Grange, and the South Wallingford Grange as well as the many supporters of the fundraisers. Thanks to the generous support of Mill River and its surrounding communities the girls are well on their way to meeting their fundraising goals.
