Stratton Hosts the Full Palette: Farm-to-Table Weekend
The Full Palette, southern Vermont’s premier farm-to-table weekend, returns for its second year at Stratton on Saturday and Sunday, August 30 and 31. In addition to featuring local farmers, artisans and craftspeople in the Pavilion, there will be cooking demonstrations and workshops taught by professional chefs and renowned food writers from Vermont and beyond. Workshops include mastering techniques of French country cooking, demystifying nutrition and the fine art of pairing wine with Vermont cheese.
Inspiring a love of cooking in the next generation, the Junior Iron Chef Competition is open to aspiring chefs ages 12 to 18. Teams will take a basket of mystery ingredients and turn it into a meal. A panel of professional chefs will judge the culinary creations. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
For more information including reservations for classes and meals, see stratton.com/palette or call 1-800-787-2886. On Saturday, August 30, the Groov’n Dukes put on a free summer concert on the Main Base lawn. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
