The Gallery at Equinox Village will present an exhibit of photography by Poultney’s Eli Adams, through Monday, August 17. The opening, scheduled for Thursday, July 16, at 5:30 p.m., is free and open to the public and will feature light refreshments and live music. Adams is a tenth grade student at LiHigh School, a small independent school in Poultney. He discovered photography at age 13. His favorite subjects include Vermont landscapes, old barns and buildings, sunrises and sunsets, nature and starry nights. “I am a photographer because I feel bad for the earth and how humans are destroying it – most without realizing,” says Adams. “I try to capture the beauty before it is gone. Photography helps me see things differently and the beauty around us that most people don’t see every day.” The Gallery at Equinox Village is located at 49 Maple Street in Manchester Center.
