Summer Sundays in Williamstown
Spring Street in Williamstown, Mass. once again will feature ‘Summer Sundays,’ from 5 to 8 p.m., all July. Participants will experience an array of musical performances, street performers, art activities and more. Featured will be local favorites Blueberry Buckle, Rosin the Beau and David Bartley Jazz, Cass Cleghorne and others. Otha Day will bring his drumming circle; the creation of a mobile mural by the Progressive Palette will begin. In addition, IS 183 will be on-hand to create art with attendees. Puppeteer Gordon Holey of the Puppet Brigade will offer larger-than-life puppet shows and a workshop on puppet creation. Pony rides will be available; yoga begins at 7 p.m. on the Morgan Lawn at the top of Spring Street. Beginning at dusk, it’s Family Flicks under the stars on the Morgan Lawn.Featured films will include: ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ on July 6; ‘Casablanca’ on July 13, ‘Mary Poppins’ on July 20; and ‘Jurassic Park’ on July 27. Movie goers are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Concessions will be available for sale. Events will be cancelled during inclement weather, except for Family Flicks; the location will be moved to Images Cinema at 50 Spring Street.
