Sunrise Receives Donations

Sunrise Family Resource Center of Bennington was in the planning stages of replacing their traditional playground mulch with a more sustainable – but more expensive – rubber mulch. They were surprised with two donations of funds raised through a raffle at Bennington’s Mayfest by Alliance Fair Trade Gifts, who, unaware that Sunrise was facing this additional expense, had chosen the organization as the recipient of the funds.

Alliance Fair Trade Gifts, offers hope to others through its purchases from Third World nations and direct trade in the US of quality crafts and food products, often created from recycled, sustainable materials. Purchases of these creations offers dignity and hope through employment.

The store, located at 198 Crescent Boulevard in the lower level of the Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington, is open Thursday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 12 to 4 p.m. Call them at 802-447-1709 for details.
