Taking the Bite Out of Cancer
The American Cancer Society Bark For Life is a fundraising event honoring the life-long contributions of our Canine Caregivers. Bark For Life is an irresistible way to partner with your canine best friend and make new friends – canine and human. Dogs get cancer, too. In fact, the same cancer fighting treatments used to treat humans is used to treat dogs, so Bark For Life is for all walks of life. Cancer touches us all, but Bark For Life is a time to come together as a community and celebrate that we’re all still here and we’re still fighting. At Bark For Life, it’s all about the dogs! There will be games and activities, costume contests, food and vendors. Join us for Bark For Life of Bennington County on Saturday, November 1, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Arlington Recreational Park. Register before Wednesday, October 8, raise $100 or more, and you will receive a T-shirt. Register at relayforlife.org/barkbenningtoncountyvt. Same-day registration begins at 1:30. The cost is $15 or $25 for two dogs from the same family. Pets and pet parents are encouraged to dress in their best costumes. Sponsors and vendors are needed.
