Tattoo Art at Bennington Museum
Bennington Museum brings back its one-night living exhibition of tattoo body art on Saturday, April 28, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. ‘Tattoo 3’ will feature some of the area’s best tattoo art with artists from Body Blend Studio, Shaftsbury and Raz-A-Tat Tattoo of Bennington, Lucky Sinz Tattoo Parlour of Troy, N.Y., and Strange Brew Tattoo and Ink Dog from Brattleboro. The event will feature 12 live models showing their art and sharing their stories. ‘Spill Your Ink,’ and share your own tattoo story. Vote for your favorite single tattoo and your favorite overall model. Winners receive a gift certificate to the tattoo artist of their choice. From 6:30 to 7:30, enjoy Psychic Sideshow, offering strolling magic, mind and character readings, sponsored in part by Body Blend Studio and Raz-A-Tat Tattoo. Admission is pay what you wish, but if you contribute $5 or more, you receive a ‘Love Bennington Museum’ temporary tattoo. All galleries will be open: ‘Bennington Collects’ in the Limric and Parmelee Galleries; ‘Southern Vermont Healthcare: A Century of Caring’ in the Works on Paper Gallery; ‘Enthusiasms: Personal Paintings by Jessica Park,’ in the Regional Artists Gallery; and the new installations in the Grandma Moses Gallery.
