Vet’s Home to Offer Educational Lectures for Veterans, Public

The Vermont Veterans’ Home (VVH) is pleased to announce VALOR, a new program that brings college-quality learning experiences to Veterans, their family members and the general public. VALOR, which stands for Veteran Academy: Learning Opportunities and Resources, was inspired by Claude Price, a WWII Veteran. These once-a-month, hour-long lectures are presented by visiting professors from area colleges and other experts in their respective fields. Sam Crane, chair of the political science department at Williams College is the first speaker for the program, with his presentation, ‘China: Four Decades of Social and Cultural Change,’ on Saturday, September 27, from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Crispe Room at the Veterans’ Home in Bennington, Vt.
