Victorian Tea and Fashion Show
Sunday, October 5, at 2 p.m., the Cambridge Historical Society and Museum, located on Broad Street in Cambridge, N.Y., cordially invites you to a Victorian Tea and Fashion Show.
Delicious savories, sweets and tea, served Victorian style, will be accompanied by a fashion show of period costumes, music and narration by Phyllis Chapman, who is a professional costumer, re-enactor, museum educator and living history presenter.
Chapman has an extensive collection of reproduction historic women’s and girls’ clothing and has presented historic fashion shows at North Bennington’s Park-McCullough House, the Barnett Homestead, and retirement communities throughout the area.
The Cambridge Museum has recently undergone a summer-long project of restoration and painting, and this will be the first event to be held in the beautifully refurbished house.
There is limited seating. Tickets for the event are $10 each, made payable to CHS&M and must be purchased in advance Monday, September 28. Mail to: Cambridge Historical Society, P.O. Box 123, Cambridge, N.Y., 12816. Your check will be your RSVP.
