Wallingford Day on Saturday, July 20, revives and renews a yearly tradition of bringing together community members and neighbors to celebrate the town of Wallingford with a variety of outdoor activities, local food and entertainment. A town-wide tag sale will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Starting at 11 a.m. and going through 4 p.m. that day, there will be local vendors selling crafts, food and farm produce at the Recreation Area on Meadow Street. Planned activities include lawn games, face painting, a kids’ touch-a-truck, storytelling, craft-making, pony rides, drumming and more. The Wallingford Conservation Commission will have a hot dog cookout and fun outdoor exploration activities in Stone Meadow Park, a natural area adjacent to the festivities. A Barbecue Dinner and live music will take place from 5 to 8 p.m., and the day will end with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
